retiring and having an old Honeywell thermostat 5/2 days failed, we replaced this model of 7 days for heating only. It was quite easy to replace. the wiring was identical twin, and so were the centres of wall mount hole. the installation instructions were clear enough. my one beef is that the new thermostat without back lighting that the old man had. the letters are small enough where one needs a flashlight during installation, which requires three hands, sometimes it's embarrassing

I bought this model to replace my old, hard-to-program thermostat. very simple. easy to install. easy to program. did it all in lessthan a half hour. very precise control of the temperature. keeps the temperature of 1 degree. in that, there's the rub. When they say it keeps the temperature at-1 degrees equals 1 degree. at any temperature you set, whether changes in temperature of 1 degree, the oven will turn on.
